Linda Kissinger has been an attorney since 2002. For 17 years she practiced law with the Santa Cruz County Department of Child Support Services specializing in parentage and child support cases. While there Linda learned to combine care, skill and efficiency in managing a high-volume, fast-paced caseload dealing with sensitive issues.
Linda understands that family law clients are going through some of the most painful times in their lives. Throughout each case Linda provides honest, straightforward answers and information while navigating clients through the legal process with compassion and professionalism.
Linda is skilled in resolving cases effectively and efficiently. When necessary Linda is a strong advocate in court; however, whenever possible she encourages clients to reach amicable resolutions through out-of-court settlements. With a focus on each family’s individual needs, Linda works diligently to protect her clients and craft reasonable solutions tailored to unique situations. She has earned a reputation with judicial officers and other attorneys as prepared and effective.
Linda’s practice incorporates all areas of family law including divorce, legal separation, property characterization and division, parentage, child custody and visitation, move-away evaluations, child and spousal support, domestic violence, as well as related elder abuse and civil harassment actions.
Linda loves living on the beautiful Central Coast and being fully involved in her community. She serves on the board of the Live Like Coco Foundation, a local non-profit that focuses on improving the lives of children in Santa Cruz County. When not finishing a motion, preparing for trial or arguing in court, she spends her free time with her husband and two active boys mountain biking, hiking, enjoying a lazy day at the beach, or walking their dog. A long-distance runner for decades, Linda has more recently fallen in love with CrossFit and is part of the CrossFit family.
